What PartGrid is
PartGrid consolidates purchasing data from franchised distributors, ECIA-audited independents and open-market traders, so you can compare a part across every source that carries it from a single search. Where it differs from the other aggregators is the ordering: quotes are grouped by how much we can vouch for the seller before they are ranked by price, and the landed cost is modelled for Malaysia rather than the United States.

Price & Inventory Search
Type a full or partial part number and you get every quote we hold for it on one screen — stock on hand, minimum order quantity, the full price-break ladder and lead time, side by side. Change the quantity at the top of the table and every row recalculates: the break that applies to your order is highlighted, the unit price updates, and the line total appears next to it. Rows below their minimum order quantity grey out instead of quietly quoting you a price you cannot buy at. Switch between MYR and USD at any time; the choice sticks for your next visit.

Authorized, Verified, Independent
Every other search engine sorts by price and leaves you to work out who you are buying from. We sort by certainty first. Tier 1 is franchised distribution — full warranty and paperwork your QA team will accept. Tier 2 is ECIA-audited independents who will send test reports if you ask. Tier 3 is open-market traders: the stock is probably real, but nobody has verified where it came from, and we say so in plain language underneath the row rather than burying it in a disclaimer. A Tier 3 quote can be the cheapest number on the page and still be the wrong buy for a production run. We would rather you saw that before you committed.
Part Details
The part page carries what an engineer needs to specify the component and what a buyer needs to justify it. The device specification in the manufacturer's own terms — core and clock for an MCU, dropout and output current for a regulator, reverse voltage for a diode — then a second block for ordering and compliance: mounting, moisture sensitivity, country of origin and HS code. Lifecycle state front and centre, so you find out a part is heading for obsolescence before it lands in a BOM. The datasheet with its revision number, schematic symbol, PCB footprint, 3D STEP model and SPICE model. And when the part is tight, the nearest peers in the same category with their own stock and pricing already attached — labelled as peers, not as guaranteed drop-in replacements, because we have not verified the pinout for you.

Parametric Search
Most component searches start with a part number, which assumes you already know which part you want. Parametric search is for the other half of the job. Pick a category and filter it by the values that actually constrain your design — capacitance band, voltage rating, case size — and narrow it further to what is in stock right now. Filters combine, the result count updates as you go, and if you over-constrain it we tell you which way to loosen rather than showing you an empty table with no explanation.

Duty & Landed Cost Estimator
A price break in USD tells you very little about what a reel actually costs by the time it clears customs in Port Klang. The estimator takes the quantity you entered, the break that applies to it, and adds express freight, import duty (zero on most ITA-exempt semiconductors, and we show that as a line rather than hiding it), six per cent sales and service tax, and a customs clearance fee. You get a landed total and a true per-unit cost, DDP. It is an estimate, and we label it as one — but it is a far better basis for a make-or-buy decision than a raw unit price.
Quantity-Aware Pricing
Component pricing is a ladder, and the rung you land on changes everything downstream. Enter your real order quantity at the top of the quote table — or step it by powers of ten — and the page re-derives the whole picture. The active break highlights in every row, so you can see at a glance that ordering 1,000 instead of 900 moves you a rung and pays for itself. Rows whose minimum order quantity is above your line drop out of contention visibly rather than silently. The landed cost estimate at the bottom follows the same number, so the figure you compare against your budget is always for the quantity you are actually buying.

What PartGrid will not do
It will not invent a page for a part number that does not exist. Type a string that is not a real MPN and you get a 404 that says so, with close matches and a route into parametric search — not a hollow page built to catch a long-tail query. It will not present a broker quote as an authorized one. And it will not show you a price without telling you who quoted it and when.
