What PartGrid is
PartGrid is an electronic component search engine. You give it a manufacturer part number, or a set of specifications, and it returns live price, stock and lead time from every distributor that carries the part — graded by how much we can vouch for the source.
Why we grade sources
The open market for electronic components works, right up until it doesn't. Counterfeit and mis-marked parts cost real money and real schedule, and the failure mode is almost always the same: somebody sorted by price, bought from a name they didn't recognise, and found out at incoming inspection. Sorting by certainty first is not a moral position. It is the ordering that matches how the risk actually falls.
Where the data comes from
Authorized distributor rows come from the distributors' own APIs under licence and refresh continuously. Independent listings refresh when the trader sends a feed, and anything older than thirty days is pulled rather than shown stale. Every row carries its own timestamp and the name of whoever quoted it.
Where we are
PartGrid is built for buyers sourcing into Malaysia and the wider ASEAN region — which is why prices default to MYR and the landed-cost estimator models Malaysian duty and SST rather than US tariffs. The catalogue itself is global.
